After a few months without a live archival release from Bruce Springsteen there is finally a new one to report on. Schottenstein Center, Ohio, 2005 features The Boss’s 24-song solo acoustic performance from his Devils & Dust Tour. The new release – which was recorded on July 31, 2005 – is available now via Live.BruceSpringsteen.net.

As Backstreets notes, the new release is chock full of rarities and is just the second release of the series taken from shows Springsteen played this century. Included within is the live premiere of “Lift Me Up,” the tour debut of “Back In Your Arms” and the first-ever live acoustic version of “Cynthia.” Other rarities are also featured such as “Valentine’s Day” and “One Step Up.” Bruce switches between guitar and piano and plays “Dream Baby Dream” on pump organ. While the tour is a solo acoustic outing, it must be noted Alex Fitzgerald contributes keyboard accompaniment from off-stage.
