A couple of party buses opened their doors and released a small mass of Springsteen fans at the front door. Inside, the bowling balls rolled with the hopes of strikes as the Brooklyn Bowl showroom crowd thickened. A siren song from the voice of opening act, Victoria Reed mesmerized the patrons who seemed to be stuck in their tracks from the dazzling singer. Then it was time for Brooklyn Is The Boss.
Tom Hamilton’s American Babies were the house band for the show and were backed by an all-star cast including Erik Deutsch, Jackie Greene, Ross James and The Superslick Horns featuring Clary Gayton, Kevin Batchelor and Paul Vercesi. From the first note of “Promised Land” and all the way through the night the cast of characters changed and rocked out behind the talent and showmanship of Tom Hamilton. The audience hung on every word. Often times they provided the perfect background harmonies to their favorite Springsteen classics.
