Outlaw country star Brantley Gilbert is gearing up for a big 2017. Today the Georgia native, who infuses his music with heavy southern rock, alt-rock and metal influences, has announced 26 shows at U.S. arenas set to take place between early February and late April. The Devil Don’t Sleep Tour comes on the heels of back-to-back platinum albums and a 2015 collaboration with rapper T.I.
Gilbert has enlisted Tucker Beathard and Luke Combs to open most shows on the lengthy run. Brantley kicks off the tour at Santander Arena in Reading, Pennsylvania on February 2. He then plays the Bryce Jordan Center in State College, Pennsylvania on February 3 and Portland, Maine’s Cross Insurance Arena on February 4. He then heads to the heartland for shows in Wichita, Kansas and Cape Girardeau, Missouri before returning east for shows in Charleston, West Virginia and Glens Falls, New York.
The run continues in Youngstown, Ohio on February 17 ahead of shows in Florence, South Carolina; Evansville, Indiana; Greensboro, North Carolina and Louisville, Kentucky to end February. March will find Brantley Gilbert performing in Illinois, Missouri, Louisiana, Mississippi and Kentucky. The tour is currently set to conclude with April visits to Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, Louisiana, Mississippi, Iowa and Minnesota.
“Headlining shows in arenas gives you a lot of room to rock,” said Gilbert in a press release. “The rooms are big enough; the energy really gets going. They push us, we feed them, and the whole thing gets louder and louder ’til it feels like the roof’s gonna come off. But they listen; our fans like when we strip it back, and you can hear ’em sing.”
Tickets for most shows go on sale this Friday and Saturday, while others are on sale now.
