Brandi Carlile Covers Crosby, Stills & Nash’s ‘Helplessly Hoping’ In 2018

The Howard Stern Show shared video of Brandi Carlile covering a Crosby, Stills & Nash classic. The video from 2018 features Carlie and band mates Phil Hanseroth and Tim Hanseroth on “Helplessly Hoping.”

The song originally appears on CSN’s 1969 self-titled debut album and showcases the trio’s iconic harmonies. Brandi prefaces the cover on Howard Stern by telling a story about performing the song with Stephen Stills in the audience.
