Organizers Cancel 2020 Borderland Festival

The 2020 Borderland Festival will not take place due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. Organizers will now turn their focus to next year’s event, which will be held at Knox Farm in State Park, New York September 20 – 21, 2021.

Those who purchased “Blind Faith” tickets for this year’s event can get refunds or use their tickets in 2021. Additional “Blind Faith” tickets are on sale now here at the lowest price for which they will be available.

“We held onto hope as long as we could throughout the summer, but under the current New York State guidelines we are unfortunately not going to be able to host Borderland at the level our fans have grown to enjoy and love,” explained Borderland owner, Jennifer Brazill in a statement. “We are independent promoters and pour our hearts into these events, so of course it is disappointing, however we know that the safety of the fans, artists, crew and community is our first priority.”

Borderland organizers created the Split-Rail Series of micro-events that will abide by social distancing guidelines featuring live music, curated culinary experiences, environmental awareness, craft vendors and artisans and craft beer. The first Split-Rail Series event will be held on August 23 with tickets on sale this Monday, August 3. The Kemp Adeyola Quartet and members of The Historic Colored Musicians Club will perform with food available as part of a New Orleans style menu inspired by Jazz Fest.

As the days have gone by, we have tried to navigate these ever changing times the best we could, always holding onto hope. As of today, we have turned every possible stone and we understand that we are not able to deliver you the Borderland Festival experience under the current circumstances. Working within State of New York guidelines, we are moving the Borderland Music + Arts Festival to September, 2021.

Refund options will be offered to fans who purchased “blind faith” tickets to the 2020 festival as well as tickets that will immediately be on sale for the 2021 festival. These Early-Bird tickets will be the lowest price available for 2021 for a limited time.
