The String Cheese Incident held the second of two headlining performances on Sunday at the Summer Meltdown music festival in Darrington, Washington. The group welcomed Elephant Revival vocalist/washboard player Bonnie Paine to perform a song she collaborated on with the band on their recently issued album Believe.
Following Saturday night’s single-set main stage appearance, SCI kicked off the first of two sets on Sunday with “Song In My Head.” The opening set also featured the emergence of Paine for a take on “My One And Only,” the song she also contributed to on the studio LP released in April. The set came to a close with the pairing of “Sometimes A River” into “Texas.”
Summer Meltdown’s final SCI set opened with “Shine” and bust out cover of The Beatles’ “She Came In Through The Bathroom Window.” The group also offered takes on their classics “Hotel Window” and “Rivertrance” and closed the set with “Just One Story” and “Rosie.” For the encore Cheese offered up their cover of Stevie Wonder’s “I Wish.”
