Watch Sarah McLachlan & Allison Russell Honor Joni Mitchell At 2026 Juno Awards

Mitchell was given the Lifetime Achievement Award at the annual event held in Ontario, Canada.

Canadian singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell was given the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2026 Juno Awards held on Sunday at TD Coliseum in Hamilton, Ontario. Fellow Canadian singer-songwriters, Sarah McLachlan and Allison Russell, performed a medley of songs by Mitchell, who joined them at the end of the performance.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney gave a speech ahead of Mitchell receiving the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. The 82-year-old Mitchell was then given the stage to deliver her acceptance speech.

The musical tribute to Mitchell began with McLachlan leading a portion of Mitchell’s song “A Case Of You.” Russell took the helm after segueing into “Both Sides, Now.”

Mitchell then got into the action as several of the evening’s other performers also took the stage for “Big Yellow Taxi.” Watch McLachlan and Russell — who will tour together this summer — lead the medley, as well as Mitchell’s acceptance speech, below:
