Bob Weir To Appear At 2016 Americana Music Festival & Conference

The 17th annual Americana Music Festival & Conference will take place September 20 – 25 in Nashville. Among those revealed to be participating in various panels and workshops was Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir.

Weir will appear in support of his upcoming new solo album Blue Mountain. Similar to a recent appearance in New York City, Bobby will play songs from the album as well as offer playback of LP tracks. Producer Josh Kaufman will again be on hand and Q&A moderated by Buddy Miller is also planned.

This year’s Americana Music Festival & Conference will also feature a keynote address by legendary producer and musician T Bone Burnett. Other panel and workshop participants include Del McCoury Band presenting their Del and Woody collaborative Woody Guthrie album featuring a live performance with special videos, Big Star drummer Jody Stephens discussing 50 years of the influential Ardent Studios, an “In Memoriam Allen Toussaint” tribute to the late NOLA legend Allen Toussaint and appearances by Dwight Yoakam, Wanda Jackson, Margo Price, Billy Bragg, Joe Henry, John Paul White, Lori McKenna and others.
