Bob Weir Teams With Sammy Hagar, Members Of RatDog & More At Sweetwater Music Hall

Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir returned to his Sweetwater Music Hall venue in Mill Valley, California on Friday night as part of a concert to raise funds for the Ring Mountain Day School. Portions of the evening featured Bobby leading a band as well as an eighth grade music class, while others included solo performances.

As per’s report, the show started with solo performances of “Hell In A Bucket” and “Loser.” Weir then led the Ring Mountain Day School’s eighth grade music class and drummer Jay Lane on “Monkey And The Engineer.” Next up were solo takes from Bobby on “Peggy-O” and “Friend Of The Devil.” The music continued with Weir joining Sammy Hagar, Rob Wasserman, Steve Kimock and Jay Lane for Sammy’s “Winding Down” and “Father Sun” as well as the Dead’s “Loose Lucy.”

Following a setbreak Bobby led Kimock, Lane, Wasserman and M.C. Radio Active and two songs from his still-unfinished album: “Digs A Hole” and “Gonesville.” The ensemble then worked “Easy Answers,” complete with a rap from Radio Active, into “Shakey Ground.” Weir and the band ended the night with “Days Between” and “Jack Straw” along with a “Ripple” encore.
