Bob Weir Performs With Bill Kreutzmann At Sweetwater

Last night Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann and his Deal co-author Benjy Eisen discussed the new memoir at Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, California. Eisen surprised Billy by having the stage set for an impromptu jam session featuring Kreutzmann along with his Grateful Dead bandmate Bob Weir, his Billy & The Kids bandmate Reed Mathis and his Rhythm Devils bandmate Steve Kimock.

The quartet began the surprise, unrehearsed performance with an improvisation that eventually hit upon “The Other One” territory. Weir sang the session’s only full song, “Cassidy,” which featured an expansive jam that covered much terrain over more than ten minutes. Watch video of “Cassidy” thanks to nowiknowuryder:
