New Orleans-based Dumpstaphunk will celebrate Halloween with a concert tonight at Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, California. The Dumpstaween performance will once again feature a guest appearance by Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir.
Weir was a guest last year when Dumpstaphunk played on Halloween at his Bay Area venue. The 2016 collaboration saw Bobby sitting-in on “Shakedown Street,” “Dear Prudence,” “Iko Iko,” “Big Chief New Orleans Medley” and “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door.” Last year’s Dumpstaween also featured guest appearances by drummers Greg Errico of Sly & The Family Stone and Nikki Glaspie. Tonight’s show at Sweetwater is sold-out.
