Jack Antonoff hosted the seventh annual Shadow Of The City festival at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, New Jersey. The one-day event was headlined by Antonoff’s band Bleachers, who debuted a new song, “Blood Brothers,” during their set.
Saturday’s spot at Shadow Of The City was the first Bleachers performance of 2025. Others on the lineup included Joyce Manor, Dora Jar, Ben Kweller, Skullcrusher, Cassandra Coleman and comedian Mike Birbiglia.
“We have been hard at work, no matter what anyone tells you,” Antonoff told the Shadow Of The City audience. “No one in this band vacations, all right. We were in Italy, but we were in the studio. Much of it was playing drums and talking about Amaro. But we were in the studio and we’re deep into the fifth Bleachers album.”
The band then launched into the new song, “Blood Brothers,” see its premiere via the videos below:

Antonoff enlisted bassist Blu DeTiger early into Bleachers’ set when the band took up “All My Heroes.” Singer-songwriter claud was tapped by Antonoff to add guitar to “Wake Me.” Both DeTiger and claud came back to the stage at the end of Bleachers’ performance for “Stop Making This Hurt.”
The Bleachers set also saw Jack Antonoff’s father, Ricky Antonoff, playing acoustic guitar alongside his son and his bandmates for “How Dare You Want More.” Scroll for more footage of Bleachers’ first show of 2025.
