Texas-based blues-rock outfit Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears shared three new tracks in advance of an extensive North American tour. Guitarist/frontman Joe Lewis will bring the band on the road for the fall jaunt starting on September 11 and the group is currently expected to conclude the tour on October 22.
Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears tapped Grammy-winning producer Stuart Sikes (The White Stripes, Cat Power, Modest Mouse) to handle production duties on the trio of new songs. Sikes assembled with the band in their hometown of Austin to record the tracks. Lewis & Co. shared lead single “Culture Vulture” as well as “Face In The Scene” and “Girls On Bikes.”
The group is expected to perform the new tracks throughout their fall tour. Up first is a visit to Meow Wolf in Santa Fe, New Mexico on September 11. From there, Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears embark on a West Coast Tour and then spend a week in Canada. The tour continues on October 2 in Minneapolis ahead of dates in Madison, Chicago, Cleveland, Columbus, Detroit and Toronto. A trip down the East Coast comes next before a tour-closing performance in Baton Rouge on October 22.
