Billie Eilish almost pulled the plug on her Wednesday night Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour concert in Nashville after Donald Trump won the presidency. However, Eilish, who had previously endorsed Kamala Harris in a video released in September, thought better of it and moved on with the show.

“Waking up this morning, I couldn’t imagine doing a show today,” Eilish explained to the audience. “But as the day went on, I started feeling that it’s such a privilege to be here with you all, especially now. I love you all so much, and I want you to know you’re safe here with me. This space is yours, and you’re protected.”

Billie Eilish broke out a pair of songs for the show at Bridgestone Arena. Her comments above were part of her introduction to “Your Power,” which had yet to be played this year. “It’s about the abuse that exists in this world upon women and a lot of the experiences that I have gone through and that people I know have gone through,” Eilish continued. “And, to tell you the truth, I’ve never met one single woman who doesn’t have a story of abuse.”

Eilish then revealed it was personal for her. “I’ve been taken advantage of,” Billie continued. “And I’ve been … my boundaries were crossed, to say it politely.”

“Now a person who is a convicted … uh, so many things … let’s say a convicted predator, let’s say that, someone who hates women so, so deeply is about to be President of the United States of America,” Eilish added.

“And, so, this song is for all the women out there. I love you, I support you.”

The second setlist shakeup came next as Eilish sang “Yesterday.” Billie previously played the classic song at the 2020 Oscars as the soundtrack of the in-memoriam segment.
