On March 8 Simon & Schuster will publish Back From The Dead, a new memoir from the world’s biggest (or at the least tallest) Deadhead Bill Walton. The 320- page tome has been years in the making and is finally ready for its early 2016 release.

Back From The Dead recounts Walton’s devastating injuries and amazing recoveries, set in the context of his UCLA triumphs under John Wooden, his storied NBA career and his affinity for music and the Grateful Dead. The book is currently available for pre-order via Amazon.com and other retailers.

Walton recently attended Dead & Company’s Halloween show with his old friend and current New York Knicks President Phil Jackson:

Bill was a steady presence at hundreds of Dead shows before Jerry’s passing and hundreds of Dead-related performances following Garcia’s death including all of the Fare Thee Well shows.
