Big Gigantic Guests With STS9 At Wakarusa

This year’s Wakarusa is well underway at Mulberry Mountain in Ozark, Arkansas. Friday at Wakarusa saw performances from the likes of STS9, Umphrey’s McGee and Big Gigantic. Two of those acts collaborated yesterday, when Big G. sat-in with their old friends in Tribe.

STS9’s first set of the weekend took place on the Main Stage before Big Gigantic’s late night performance. Tribe came out of the gates with an “Epirus” > “STS9 > “Golden Gate” sequence before treating fans to “When The Dust Settles, Reprise.” The set continued with “BluMood” > “Interlude” and “Really Wut?” Then, saxophonist/producer Dominic Lalli and drummer Jeremy Salken emerged to guest on “Kamuy.” Runs through “Walk To The Light,” “Ramone & Emiglio” and “Economic Hit Man” brought the set to a close.

Wakarusa continues on Saturday with sets from STS9, Ben Harper & Innocent Criminals, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, The Roots and more.
