Outkast co-founder Big Boi brought out Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue for a two-song guest appearance during the group’s concert at the Hollywood Bowl on Wednesday. Members of the New Orleans-based ensemble contributed to the famed rapper’s takes on OutKast favorites “So Fresh, So Clean” and “SpottieOttieDopaliscious” in Los Angeles.

Big Boi and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue’s show at the Hollywood Bowl came amid a five-night co-headlining run through California. The two acts also shared the bill in Napa on Monday, Saratoga on Tuesday and Santa Barbara on Thursday. San Diego’s The Rady Shell will host the last concert of the run tonight.

Trombonist/trumpeter Trombone Shorty, guitarist Pete Murano, bassist Mike Bass-Bailey, baritone saxophonist Dan Oestreicher, tenor saxophonist BK Jackson, drummer Joey Peebles and vocalists Tracci Lee and Nell Simmons repped Orleans Avenue with Big Boi. The musicians loaded the stage to start the collaboration with “So Fresh, So Clean” off OutKast’s 2000 LP, Stankonia.

Shorty & Orleans Avenue also added to a horn-driven version of Aquemini gem “SpottieOttieDopaliscious” at the iconic venue. Big Boi and Sleepy Brown delivered the song while the horns played its iconic melody.
