As we reported, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals kicked off a four-show run at The Fillmore in San Francisco on Wednesday night marking the group’s first performances together since 2008. The run continued on Thursday night, as BHIC dusted off many tunes that were not played on opening night.

Harper and the band opened with the one-two punch of “Jah Work” and “Glory & Consequence,” two songs off 1997’s The Will To Live that weren’t performed on Wednesday. Later, “In The Colors” was the run’s first tune from 1997’s Lifeline. Other songs performed last night by BHIC for the first time since they disbanded included “Homeless Child,” “Picture In A Frame,” “Morning Yearning,” “Please Bleed” and “Black Rain.” BHIC brought the show to a close with a six-song encore that featured the live debut of “After The Storm” and run’s first renditions of “Another Lonely Day” (performed by Ben solo), “Whipping Boy” and “On The Road To Freedom.” The run continues at The Fillmore tonight and concludes on Saturday evening.
