On Saturday night a fundraiser was held in Malibu, California for the Boys & Girls Club that featured a performance by a number of notable musicians. Beck, Jakob Dylan, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith, Goldfrapp’s Davide Rossi and the E Street Band’s Roy Bittan formed a short-lived supergroup to perform a number of well-known covers.
Among the songs played were The Beach Boys’ “Surfin’ USA,” Pink Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb,” Bruce Springsteen’s “My Hometown” and Beck’s “Where It’s At.” Martin’s daughter Apple came to the stage to sing “Just A Little Bit Of Your Heart” by Ariana Grande and Martin’s son Moses emerged to sing “House Of Gold” by Twenty One Pilots.
