The Barr Brothers Debut New Music & Cover Bob Dylan For ‘House Of Strombo’

Canadian folk rock group The Barr Brothers will release a new album Queens Of The Breakers this Friday, October 13. The band recently appeared on House Of Strombo performing a pair of songs from the new album as well as Bob Dylan’s arrangement of a traditional song.
Recorded at the home of The Strombo Show host George Stroumboulopoulos, the session included core band members, siblings Brad Barr on guitar and Andrew Barr on drums with Sarah Pagé on harp. They were joined by bassist Morgan Moore and guitarist Joe Grass on a rendition of the Queens Of The Breakers title track. They also played “Look Before It Changes” from the album for the first time live.
The session saw The Barr Brothers’ first live attempt at “Moonshiner,” a traditional song Brad was introduced to by Bob Dylan’s Live At The Gaslight 1962 recordings. Watch the three-song set below:
