Stevie Wonder is not only on his first tour since 2018, he’s also on the campaign trail for his friend, Vice President Kamala Harris. The Sing Your Song! As We Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart Tour rolled into Baltimore’s CFG Bank Arena on Tuesday and Stevie had a presidential surprise in store for fans, Barack and Michelle Obama.

Stevie Wonder officially endorsed Kamala Harris for president recently in a video by Spike Lee. Harris reposted the video and stated: “Stevie Wonder is a longtime friend of mine. I thank him for being a part of our fight for the future.”

Back to Baltimore, Michelle and Barack Obama escorted Stevie on stage and bopped along with him to the concert opener, an altered version of Wonder’s fellow Motown legends Martha Reeves and the Vandellas’ “Heat Wave,” with lyrics changed to “landslide,” in hopes of a landslide victory for Kamala Harris. Stevie then addressed the audience on the next song, his timely August single, “Can We Fix Our Nation’s Broken Heart.” At one point he turned to Barack and said “just say hey,” to which Barack replied “hey!” to rapturous applause. “I’m not gonna sing tonight,” Barack continued. “I just wanna make sure Stevie gets in his chair.”

Wonder then proceeded to deliver a concert loaded with hits from his iconic catalog including “You Are the Sunshine of My Life” (dedicated to the Obamas), “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours,” “Living for the City,” “Sir Duke,” “I Wish,” “Superstition” and more.

Wonder wrapped the concert with Songs in the Key of Life cut “Another Star,” on which he was joined by the Morgan State University Choir. Up next for Stevie is Greensboro, North Carolina on Thursday (October 17). Scroll down for Stevie Wonder’s tour routing and ticket info.
