Austin-based rockers Band of Heathens unveiled the new single “Don’t Let The Darkness,” a song featured on Simple Things, an album due out via their own BOH Records imprint on March 17. Fronted by lead vocalists and songwriters Ed Jurdi and Gordy Quist, The Band Of Heathens are joined by vocalist Amber Woodhouse (Trigger Hippy) on the soul-infused cut.
Jurdi and Quist self-produced the 10-track follow-up to the 2022 covers collection Remote Transmissions Vol. 1. The forthcoming ninth Band Of Heathens album was recorded at The Finishing School in the pair’s hometown of Austin, Texas. Quist assumed control of the facility following the death of founder and Band Of Heathens confidant George Reiff.

The Band Of Heathens will make their national television debut tomorrow, Saturday, February 25 with an appearance on CBS This Morning’s “Saturday Sessions” series. “Don’t Let The Darkness” comes on the heels of fellow Simple Things track “All That Remains,” which was accompanied by a video featuring images of loved ones fans provided.
“The song is a reminder to keep the darkness at bay, push on forward, and savor the little moments with the people you love,” wrote the group of their new tune. Stream Band Of Heathens’ “Don’t Let The Darkness” below:
