Band Of Horses’ Ben Bridwell Appears On Song Exploder Podcast

Last month, Band of Horses released their fifth studio album Why Are You OK via Interscope Records/American Recordings. Frontman Ben Bridwell appeared on the latest installment of the Song Exploder podcast and discussed the album track “Solemn Oath.”

Bridwell explains the inspiration behind the truthful lyrics of the song, his atypical guitar tunings, the challenges of mixing his family life with with being a touring musician and more. He talks about generating reverb at Panorama House in Stinson Beach, California where the record was made by utilizing a bomb shelter under the converted studio complex.
