Bad Bunny performed a concert in Asia for the first time when he appeared at Tipstar Dome Chiba near Tokyo. The Puerto Rican musician’s show in Japan on Saturday was part of Spotify’s Billions Club Live series.
Bad Bunny’s milestone concert in Asia was a celebration of having achieved the milestone of having a song earn 1 billion streams on Spotify. Previous Billions Club Live concerts featured Ed Sheeran in Dublin, Miley Cyrus in Paris and The Weeknd in Los Angeles.
Bad Bunny currently has 29 songs with +1 billion Spotify streams, just shy of the record held by The Weeknd. Bad Bunny’s setlist in Tokyo was almost entirely made up of billion-stream songs.
A song just shy of 1 billion plays, “EoO” from Bad Bunny’s Album Of The Year Grammy Award-winning album, DeBí TiRAR MáS FOToS was the first song played after he took the stage in Asia for the first time. The setlist included several of Bad Bunny’s collaborative tracks, such as his J Balvin co-sign, “La canción,” and “Safaera,” which saw the emergenge of special guests Jowell & Randy.
Pulling from across his catalog, Bad Bunny also worked up salsa versions of “Callaíta” and “MIA.” The set closed with a return to DeBí TiRAR MáS FOToS for “BAILE INoLVIDABLE,” the latest 1-billion streamer “NUEVAYoL,” and “DtMF.”
