The Avett Brothers Release New Single ‘Satan Pulls The Strings’

On June 24 Americana act The Avett Brothers will issue their ninth studio album True Sadness through American/Republic Records. The band recently shared another single from the follow-up to 2013’s Magpie & The Dandelion, entitled “Satan Pulls The Strings.”
“Satan Pulls the Strings” started as a quiet and calm Depression-era banjo song,” lead singer Seth Avett told Billboard who premiered the track. “And somehow in the studio, it blossomed into a genre that I don’t even have a name for…the frenzied yet mechanical energy of it is a first for the band.”
