Supergroup Prophets Of Rage featuring Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk and frontmen B-Real of Cypress Hill and Chuck D of Public Enemy along with DJ Lord will host an Anti-Inaugural Ball in Los Angeles this Friday, January 20. The Inauguration Day concert will be held at the Teragram Ballroom and feature the first Audioslave set in 11 years.
Audioslave is made up of Morello, Commerford, Wilk and Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell. They will be joined on the bill by special guests Jackson Browne, Vic Mensa, Jack Black and The Los Angeles Freedom Choir. The entire concert will be streamed live on the Prophets Of Rage Facebook page.
“The Anti-Inaugural Ball is a celebration of resistance,” said Morello. “Resistance to racism. Resistance to sexism. Resistance to homophobia. Resistance to bullying. Resistance to environmental devastation. Resistance to fascism. Resistance to Donald Trump. We are staring down the barrel of a dystopian nightmare unless we act NOW, unless we fight back NOW. We intend to create “No Trump Zones” across the country; in our homes, our schools, our places of work, and our concert stages. Bad Presidents make for great music. Join us as we get loud and stand together to defend our rights, our country, and our planet.”
A portion of sales of tickets to the Anti-Inaugural Ball will be donated to RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network).
