The Word, the band featuring Robert Randolph, John Medeski, Chris Chew, Luther Dickinson and Cody Dickinson will release their second album, Soul Food on May 5 via Vanguard Records. The supergroup has shared another track from the follow-up to their 2001 self-titled debut LP. Listen to “When I See The Blood” which premiered at Rolling Stone below.
The Word will appear in New Orleans at the Joy Theater this Sunday and at Jazz Fest Thursday, April 30. They will then make appearances at the Hangout Festival, All Good Music Festival and Forecastle Festival in the coming months.
