Soulive’s fifth-annual Bowlive run came to a close on Saturday, but not before a pair of guest-filled performances. On Saturday afternoon the band welcomed The Shady Horns and guitarists Warren Haynes and Brandon Niederauer for the residency’s second “Afternoon Kids Show.”

The trio kicked off the all-ages performance with “Turn It Out,” before bringing up the horns for “Uncle Jr.,” “Brother Soul” and “El Ron.” Guitarist Brandon “Taz” Niederauer then showed off the skills that impressed so many during past appearances with The Revivalists, Warren Haynes and aboard Jam Cruise 12. Brandon jammed with Soulive on covers of “Manic Depression” and “Eleanor Rigby.” Warren Haynes, who played with the Allman Brothers Band at the Beacon later in the evening, joined in with the trio and Taz on the “Come Together” that brought the set to a close.
