On Monday morning Matisyahu, who will soon embark on a busy summer of touring, stopped by the SiriusXM program The Howard Stern Radio Show for not only a chat about his career but also to participate in a rap battle.

Howard Stern newsman Jon Lieberman heard Matis warm up for an appearance on another SiriusXM show and told another Stern staffer he could rap better than the professional reggae-rapper. Stern was more than happy to host the challenge. While the rap battle didn’t amount to much, we did enjoy Howard’s talk with Matisyahu. The White Plains, NY native discussed how be turned to religion, his early days following Phish, his love of LSD and other topics.
