Aoife O’Donovan issued Aoife Plays Nebraska, an LP featuring her album-length live cover performance of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska record. The 10-track album is available for purchase/streaming via Bandcamp who waives its revenue share from sales today and the first Friday of each month for the remainder of 2021. Bandcamp Friday runs from midnight to midnight Pacific Time.
Bruce Springsteen originally released Nebraska in 1982. He wrote all of the material on the mostly acoustic LP including “Atlantic City,” “State Trooper,” “Reason To Believe” and “Mansion On The Hill.” O’Donovan performed the album from her Brooklyn home on May 9, 2020 for a livestream concert. Jody Elff remotely recorded Aoife Plays Nebraska and mixed and mastered the set for today’s release.
