Watch Annie Lennox Join Brandi Carlile For Eurythmics Hit At Star-Studded Ladies Of The ‘80s Set In Mexico

Brandi Carlile’s Girls Just Wanna Weekend destination event in Mexico once again featured an all-star Ladies Of The ‘80s set made up of fun covers and matching neon colored outfits. The joyous set began with Carlile and her bandmates joined by Annie Lennox on a performance of the Eurythmics hit “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This).”

Lennox was the first of many guests to collaborate with Carlile throughout the festive set. Among the other Girls Just Wanna Weekend performers who took the stage to cover ‘80s classics included Sarah McLachlan, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Brandy Clark, Allison Russell, Lucius, SistaStrings, KT Tunstall, Vonda Shepard, Celisse Henderson, Kim Richey, Corook, Monica Martin, Tish Melton, SmallTown Strings and Arroba Nat. Actress Gina Gershon and podcast hosts Glennon Doyle and Abby Wambach also got in on the action.

Annie Lennox proved to be the “very special guest” listed on the Girls Just Wanna Weekend 2024 lineup. Lennox, who formed the popular ‘80s group Eurythmics with Dave Stewart, performed a surprise set on Saturday night. Lennox stayed another day at the Barceló Maya to help Carlile, who started the set dressed in Lennox’s iconic ‘80s look, jumpstart the Ladies Of The ‘80s celebration.
