New Orleans singer/songwriting guitarist Anders Osborne will soon embark on his final tour in support of his latest studio album, Flowerbox. Anders along with drummer Brady Blade, bassist Carl Dufrene and guitarist Eric McFadden will bookend the tour with home state performances and will head out west for the majority of the run.
Osborne and his band kick off the tour in Monroe, Louisana on April 5. From there, the quartet will play shows in Kansas City, Denver, Aspen, Salt Lake City and Crystal Bay ahead of visits to the California cities of San Francisco, Los Angeles and Solana Beach. The guitarist and his crew then head back to New Orleans in time for Jazz Fest with stops along the way in Albuquerque, Dallas, Driftwood and Atlanta.
Anders previewed his upcoming visit to The Fillmore in San Francisco on April 14, “San Francisco has given me some of my dearest friends and memories through the years. The crowds have always been very sophisticated and hip but still super down to earth. The whole Bay Area and the city itself definitely feels like a creative variation or a sibling to New Orleans and its surroundings: world class food, architecture, music and diversity. And of course The Fillmore is AWESOME! It’s a privilege to play there on my upcoming Spring tour. This being a Flowerbox tour, we will play as much as possible from that record every night then go through my song catalogue hopefully all the way back to my first record released in 1989.” Tickets for the Fillmore are on sale now via Live Nation.
