Allman Brothers Band Welcomes Talton Debuts Cover In Chicago

The Allman Brothers Band visited Chicago’s historic Chicago Theatre for their first of two sold-out shows last night. It wouldn’t be an Allmans show without a guest spot and for yesterday’s performance Tommy Talton of the severly underrated southern rock act Cowboy sat in on “Statesboro Blues” and “Revival” to end the first set.

When the Allmans came back for the second set, they treated fans to a debut cover of Wilson Pickett’s “I Found A Love” featuring Gregg on lead vocals. From there, the band reeled off one classic after another peaking with a “Liz Reed” set closer and “No One To Run With” encore.

Set One: One Way Out, Done Somebody Wrong, Gilded Splinters, Worried Down With The Blues, HotLanta, Might Have Been Rain, Spots Of Time, Statesboro Blues w/Tommy Talton, Revival w/Tommy Talton

Set Two: I Found A Love, Midnight Rider, Don’t Keep Me Wondering, Sky Is Crying, Ain’t Wasting Time No More, Soulshine, In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed
