The session got underway with Outside Child’s “Hy-Brasil” ahead of a song written by Russell from the Our Native Daughters — Allison’s project alongside Rhiannon Giddens, Amythyst Kiah and Leyla McCalla — catalog with “Quasheba, Quasheba.” A return to Outside Child in “4th Day Prayer” and “All Of The Women” followed before Russell wrapped things up with the two-time Grammy-nominated song from the album, “Nightflyer.” Allison also chats with host Gabriel Teodros.
