By Scott Bernstein Jun 7, 2017 • 10:29 am PDT

Author and musician Alan Paul spent many hours with the late Gregg Allman ahead of the release of One Way Out: The Inside Story Of The Allman Brothers Band, a biography of the Allman Brothers Band published in 2014. Paul and his Big In China band will honor Gregg with a performance to be held at Suzy Que’s BBQ in West Orange, New Jersey on Friday night.
Guitarist Junior Mack of Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band is expected to guest with Alan Paul and the Big In China band. “Our hearts are broken by the death of Gregg Allman,” said Paul in a statement. “We will celebrate his life by celebrating music. It’s always a thrill and a pleasure to welcome our friend Junior Mack to our band. He is a brilliant singer and guitarist who I’ve watched played with the Allman Brothers Band many times. We all need to heal and we’re going to do it with music.”
