Acclaimed singer and clawhammer banjo player Abigail Washburn will preview her forthcoming album City of Refuge this September during the “Prelude Tour,” including Nashville on September 8 and New York City on September 24.

Recorded in Nashville, Washburn amassed an impressive group of artists and friends including Kai Welch, guitarist Bill Frisell, old-timey fiddler Rayna Gellert and guzheng (the ancient Chinese zither) master Wu Fei. Ketch Secor and Morgan Jahnig of Old Crow Medicine Show, Chris Funk from The Decemeberists and Carl Broemel of My Morning Jacket also appear on the record.
