17 In 17: Phish Announces 2017 – 2018 New Year’s Run At Madison Square Garden
By Scott Bernstein Sep 20, 2017 • 11:09 am PDT

Between July 21 and August 6 Phish played 13 shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City for a residency dubbed the Baker’s Dozen. Today, the band has announced they will return to The Garden to ring in 2018 with a four-night New Year’s Run to bring the grand total of 2017 shows at MSG to 17.
Phish’s 2017 – 2018 New Year’s Run is slated for the traditional period of December 28 – 31. By the time the run finishes, the quartet will have played 56 concerts at the venue dating back to their MSG debut on December 30, 1994. Seven of the last eight Phish New Year’s Runs have taken place at The Garden, though the 2010 – 2011 run was split between Madison Square Garden and The Centrum in Worcester. 2017 is the first time the group has held two multi-night runs at the famed New York City venue that both fell in the same calendar year. Madison Square Garden hosted a Phish New Year’s Eve performance for the first time on December 31, 1995.
A pre-sale lottery for tickets to each show is currently underway via Phish Ticketing. The entry period ends on Monday, October 2 at 10 a.m. ET. Public on-sales for each show are scheduled for Friday, October 6 at 12 p.m. ET. Travel packages will be available via CID Entertainment starting Friday, September 22 at 12 p.m. ET. Phish will donate their proceeds from the travel packages to the WaterWheel Foundation.
