Over the past few years talented youngster Owen York has impressed with his medleys of songs by Umphrey’s McGee (with whom he played a soundcheck in 2016), Radiohead, Beck, The Who and David Bowie. York has unveiled his latest medley as he combines 26 Steely Dan songs over the course of 19 minutes.

The 13-year-old pianist said the new project is his “most developed structured improvisation.” Owen, who has been a Steely Dan fan since the age of eight, has seen the band live twice. His medley includes such favorites as “Bodhisattva,” “Kid Charlemagne,” “My Old School” and “Hey 19” as well as deeper cuts like “The Royal Scam,” “King Of The World” and both versions of “Your Gold Teeth.”
