Update: Phish has officially announced Rift vinyl and will make a special version available at their Magnaball Festival.

Music retailer Acoustic Sounds has made a vinyl edition of Phish’s 1993 album Rift available for pre-order. According to the web store, the record will be reissued on wax by JEMP Records on Friday, September 18.

Rift getting officially reissued on vinyl follows Phish’s recent history of re-releasing their past albums in chronological order, including pressings of Phish (The White Tape), Junta, Lawnboy and Picture of Nectar. The Rift vinyl release also aligns with information from the album’s cover artist David Welker, who hinted at its reissuing late last year.

Originally recorded at White Crow Studios in Burlington, Vermont, Rift was first released by Elektra Records in September 1993 and later was certified gold. Head here to pre-order the two-LP Rift edition on vinyl via Acoustic Sounds.
