While the focus of the Grateful Dead world was on Chicago, the Dave Matthews Band played a tribute to the band at Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, New York on Saturday night.

DMB were joined by frequent guest Bela Fleck on banjo for their debut cover of “Friend Of The Devil” towards the end of an acoustic first set on Saturday. The band’s second of two SPAC shows was still in progress as of press time but had already seen Fleck add to “Friend Of The Devil” and “Grace Is Gone” as part of an acoustic first set that also featured the first version of “#40” since June 21, 2008. Dave and his band were joined by the Lovely Ladies backing vocalists towards the middle of the second set on “Everyday” and the tour debut of “Burning Down The House.”
