Last night Emmylou Harris added her signature vocals to portions of both sets played by Dave Matthews Band at The Amphitheater at The Wharf in Orange Beach, Alabama.

Wrong turn onto the front row. Whoops… #DMB #davematthewsband Greatness!

Harris, who has performed with Matthews a number of times over the years including at a Johnny Cash tribute and for a 2003 episode of CMT’s Crossroads, came out during DMB’s acoustic first set to help on “Oh, Sister” and “Gulf Coast Highway.” “Oh, Sister” is a Bob Dylan cover the Dave Matthews Band had yet to perform but was covered frequently by Dave Matthews & Friends with Harris in 2003 and 2004. “Gulf Coast Highway” was last played by Dave and Emmylou on Austin City Limits in 2000 and had never been performed by DMB until last night. Emmylou Harris returned during the second set to guest on a cover of “Long Black Veil.” Next up for Dave and his band is a performance in Tuscaloosa tonight.
