Pianist Holly Bowling has been featured before on JamBase for her impressive solo piano renditions of well-known Phish songs and jams. In response to the positive reception those recordings garnered, Bowling has announced the upcoming release of her solo piano double album, Distillation of a Dream, featuring two LPs of Phish’s music. The album will be released both digitally and on 180 gram vinyl through a PledgeMusic campaign

As with all PledgeMusic campaigns, Bowling is offering additional exclusive items at various pricing tiers, including prints by Isadora Bullock and pins by Pin Me Down. Other items include private piano lessons with Bowling, a handwritten transcription of the famed Tahoe “Tweezer,” house concerts and much more.

Here’s how Bowling partly describes the album:

The album is laid out like a show. The first disc, SET I, is a collection of tracks highlighting Phish’s intricate songwriting. SET II, the second disc, is a love letter to the incredible improvisation Phish creates during their live performances. It consists entirely of “jam transcriptions” and contains three piano reinterpretations of standout live performances, including the Tahoe Tweezer.

One percent of the funds collected toward the PledgeMusic campaign’s goal and five percent of any money raised beyond that will go to The Mockingbird Foundation.
