Jamie Hewllet Announces Gorillaz Returns

There’s great news for Gorillaz fans as the artist behind the band has confirmed the group’s return. Jamie Hewllet has been posting Gorillaz images on on his Instagram account and responded to a fan who asked whether there’s a comeback in the works with “Yes. Gorillaz Returns.”
Gorillaz had been mothballed since the end of a World Tour in the support of their last album, Plastic Beach, which was released in 2010. Just after that tour, Damon Albarn, who created the virtual band with Hewllet, hinted that Gorillaz were done. Thankfully, Albarn changed his tune in an interview last year.
As for now there’s no word on just exactly what’s in store for Gorillaz’s return, but we’re sure more details will be announced soon.
