Add Bruce Springsteen to the now long list of musical acts who have launched a site to sell live recordings. Live.BruceSpringsteen.net currently features over 30 live recordings from The Boss, available as digital downloads and on CD, with the promise of more to come.

The bulk of live shows featured on the site were recorded in 2014. There’s also an archival show from Springsteen’s historic tour-opening performance at The Apollo Theater in New York City on March 9, 2012. In exciting news for Bruce fans, the pre-order page for the Apollo show notes its “the first in a series of releases from the Bruce Springsteen Archives.” The New Jersey native’s studio albums are also available through the site.

CD orders for the shows featured on Live.BruceSpringsteen.net are expected to ship starting the week of December 1. Nugs.net, the team behind download portals for such acts as Phish, Widespread Panic and Metallica, powers Springsteen’s live site. Nugs’ Brad Serling spoke with Backstreets about the program and revealed exciting news about the archival series. “We know, of course, that fans want to dig deep,” Serling told Backstreets.com, which notes, “there’s a working list of 30 shows ‘spanning Bruce’s entire career’ under consideration, and, by way of example, he confides a healthy percentage of them are circa 1973-78.” Brad went on to say, “It’s very exciting to think about the different eras that will be covered. And what’s really interesting is where the tapes are coming from. What’s in the vault, what isn’t. Not all of it is in their archives, so they are sourcing material now.” We can’t wait to see what’s in store.
