Update: Warner Brothers has confirmed Neil Young’s Storeytone album will be released in November. The label shared three versions of “Who’s Gonna Stand Up,” including the orchestral version below. We’re still awaiting more details such as the release date, album art and tracklisting.

Earlier this month Neil Young shared a live version of his latest political anthem, “Who’s Gonna Stand Up?”, recorded at a Crazy Horse gig in Liverpool this summer. Today, Young has upped the ante by sharing a majestic orchestral take on “Who’s Gonna Stand Up?” in which he’s backed by a 92-piece symphony. Neil’s voice sounds fantastic and in addition to the many pieces of the orchestra, Young is also accompanied by a choir on the symphonic “Who’s Gonna Stand Up?”

It’s been reported that Neil Young will soon issue Storeytone, an album thought to feature an orchestra, though no official announcement has been made yet. “I’d like to make a record with a full-blown orchestra, live –a mono recording with one mic. I want to do something like that where we really record what happened, with one point of view and the musicians moved closer and farther away, the way it was done in the past. To me that’s a challenge and it’s a sound that’s unbelievable, and you can’t get it any other way,” Neil told Billboard in March.
