25th Annual Warren Haynes Christmas Jam Lineup Announced

Earlier this year it was revealed that this year’s Christmas Jam would be expanded to two days in celebration of the event’s 25th anniversary. Today, the lineup for the 25th annual Christmas Jam has been revealed and includes Aquarium Rescue Unit, Michael Franti, Gov’t Mule, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Keb Mo, OAR (Of A Revolution), Phil Lesh Quintet and The John Scofield Uberjam Band as well as special guests Bill Evans, Ron Holloway and Kevn Kinney. The event is scheduled to take place at Asheville, NC’s US Cellular Center on December 13 and 14.

ARU’s appearance at Christmas Jam marks a reunion for the long mothballed jam favorites (only their second performance since 2007) as well as for Phil Lesh’s much-beloved “Q” ensemble. The ARU lineup for this show will feature Col. Bruce Hampton, Jimmy Herring, Oteil Burbridge, Jeff Sipe and Matt Slocum; while Lesh’s “Q” finds Phil joined by Warren Haynes, Jimmy Herring, Rob Barraco and John Molo. Guitarist John Scofield is aboard with his Uberjam Band, but he’ll also team up with Gov’t Mule for the return of the pairing’s Sco-Mule project after 14 years. Look for more additions to the lineup including more headlining artists in the coming months.

As with past Christmas Jams, proceeds from this year’s event will benefit Habitat For Humanity. Back in 2008, Haynes presented two nights worth of music at the Asheville Civic Center for the 20th annual Christmas Jam -which was the last time the event spanned two evenings. The formidable lineup for #20 featured Gov’t Mule, The Allman Brothers Band, Steve Earle, John Paul Jones, Ben Harper & Relentless7, The Del McCoury Band, The Derek Trucks Band, Michael Franti, Dumpstaphunk and many more. Over the years Haynes has used the money raised from the concerts to build more than 20 affordable houses for area residents.

A number of VIP options will be available starting on Wednesday, October 9, at 2 p.m. ET will be available via CID Entertainment with a GA pre-sale to follow on October 10.
