Setlist | Brunch With Bob Weir and Steve Kimock at Peach Music Festival

One of the more interesting elements of last year’s inaugural Peach Music Festival was a “Wake Up With Warren” set that kicked off the final day of the event. This year, fest organizers recruited Grateful Dead / Furthur / RatDog guitarist Bob Weir for “Brunch With Bobby.” Weir’s solo acoustic set just wrapped up and saw contributions from Steve Kimock, who was on hand with RatDog and also sat in with the Allman Brothers Band last night.

Bobby kicked off his set with blues standard “Walkin’ Blues” and John Phillips’ “Me & My Uncle.” Weir then dipped back into his solo repertoire for a song he wrote with Gerrit Graham called “City Girls,” but wound up aborting it after a false start promising he’d “come back to that one.” The Bay Area icon fulfilled his promise by performing “City Girls” after the “Big Bad Blues” > “Loose Lucy” pairing. Next, Bob introduced “KC Moan” by saying “I want to take y’all back to before the days of the blues, (when) they used to call these things moans and hollers” and brought out Kimock for “Peggy-O,” a jammed-out “Playin'” and a cover of Delbert McClinton’s “Standing On Shaky Ground.”
