Phish bassist Mike Gordon wasn’t done performing for the weekend after he and his mates closed out a three-night stand at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Denver on Sunday night. Gordon headed over to Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom late on Sunday, where he sat in with old friends Leftover Salmon and keyboardist Bill Payne. This was Mike’s second guest appearance at Cervantes in four nights as he sat in with Dumpstaphunk at the Denver club on Thursday.

Payne, a co-founding member of Little Feat, had performed with Gordon a handful of times in the past and recruited the bassist to guest on Little Feat’s Join The Band studio album in 2008. Mike, who’s no stranger to sitting in with Leftover Salmon, emerged on bass for renditions of blues standard “When The Levee Breaks” and Little Feat’s “Oh Atlanta.” Phish had performed “Oh Atlanta” on Halloween 2010 as part of their Waiting for Columbus musical costume in Atlantic City. Andy Hall of Infamous Stringdusters also sat in with Leftover Salmon on Sunday, including on the performance of “Oh Atlanta.”
