Paul McCartney To Star In Hour-Long Colbert Report

MACCA TO SIT FOR INTERVIEW AND PERFORM CLASSIC SONGS

On June 12 Paul McCartney will return to Comedy Central's The Colbert Report for the show's second hour-long special ever. Macca will perform songs and sit for an interview with the program's host - Stephen Colbert. The legendary rocker last appeared on The Colbert Report in 2009.

Paul is expected to perform songs from his current Out There tour as well as the reissue of his Wings Over America live album. Plus, there will be an additional song filmed that will be distributed exclusively over Colbert's website. “I think this McCartney kid’s got something special and I’m gonna put him on the map!” Colbert said in a press release.

The first and only other super-sized Colbert Report featured Radiohead in 2011. The McCartney episode of the Colbert Report will premiere on Wednesday, June 12 from 11:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. ET/PT.
