SO has anyone seen a show or two yet? Just curious as to how it was , I listened to the show on all songs considered and it just seemed so rushed and sound not the best.

aye, i saw them in brooklyn about a month ago. Excellent show-- blew me away. Issac has a SHITLOAD of energy, and even if you dont like indy you will still love this show. He even had some improv going on in parts.

Ya I caught a show last year in Santa Clara and it was pretty killer. Man Man opened which was fun and Issac definitely had a lot of energy. Trailor Trash was great and in Doin the Cockroach he was ragin it with the guitar behind his head. it was Uber Bras... but ya cant wait for NOLA show...i didnt have a ticket to the last one so i got highly intoxicated and yelled at all the fans who were going in the show... I thought Issac would have been proud. saw Son Volt upstairs instead. Still Dope. Word Sistas

wow... i am just blown away at how minimal the blog is on this topic.... this is a fabulous band...respecting the fact that the majority of the people on this website are into jam in contrast to indie rock.... still Modest Mouse is stellar... i use to be a jam head until i found well written rock n roll and oh man if you are searching for some please take my advice and get Lonesome Crowded West, Building Nothing Out of Something, and Good News for People who LIke Bad News...its rock n irony n tragedy n romantic n doubt n hope n smoke n drink n think n roll.... passion is the new fassion brothers and mouse has it at every ounce foos... word sistas

don't forget their best album by far curtbraski - the moon and antarctica. it's a piece of art.

Detroit Funk

I got really into them a couple years ago. I own all of their albums, and a few of them are straight masterpieces. Definitly my favorite indie band around, and their new album isn't bad either. The live shows usually sound terrible though, so I don't know if I'll hit up the Detroit show or not. I'm pretty sure Umphrey's is in Ann Arbor the same night.

This band has some catchcy songs on their albums no doubt - they are quite trendy as well - but I agree that they have 0 live chops - they just can't pull off a live show - even playing the same set night in and night out
